This is a very fun local feeling race. The pre race swag was excellent- tech shirt & fleece blanket! The start was one large start for the half and full but didn’t feel too over crowded. Good water stations throughout the course with gatorade and water. Could use more potter potties on the course at those stations. There were sections with great cheering from the community but also some miles that were pretty empty. My favorite part was running through the school track- great DJ and energy! Course was overall flat with some running on boardwalks. Finish area had a great crowd with lots of cheering. Great announcer at the first who called out everyone’s name as they finished. Beautiful finishers medal. There was an excellent post race block party with many delicious foods included with your registration but mimosas and beer!

This course was a 2 1/2 loop trip through Central Park. Overall a beautiful scene and run very well by New York Road runner. The course does take you through three trips over Harlem Hill, which is quite challenging. The last time overs on your way to the finish, which was a little grueling. Pre-race swag was a nice knit hat. Post race there was water, bagels and apples
