Great race production and even better people. Expo is really well laid out and easy to go through. Free parking at the expo as well which was really appreciated. They give you your finisher shirt at the expo in a envelope which is pretty funny. During the race you get a lot of support from friends and family with a lot of bands jamming out. There is a big bridge that you run up going into downtown but they have the blue mile and troops there to cheer you on which is great motivation. Afterwards the party is fun and the two free beers are delicious. This was the second time I have ran the race and it’s going to be an annual occurrence now.

It was great to do the race after 7 years without DL not having a race. I will not be returning.
The staging area was a mess with long security lines and no one telling the crowd where to go. Ended up having to double back to get to bag check. They had A-D corral all in a mob before they would let us get into our corral.
The race itself is fun for the first 5-6 miles, after that you run through Anaheim with no crowds and minimal entertainment

Late October in the DMV area is always a coin flip for weather. Expo to the convention center requires buses from the metro station to get to the Gaylord. Otherwise the actual convention center is easy to get in and out of from the buses.
The course itself is awesome. Starting at the pentagon and running on the GW Parkway and then going into DC and running on the mall. Really great track overall with finishing up a huge hill towards the Iwo Jima Statue.
The racer village in Rosslyn is absolute chaos with families trying to meet up. Makes it challenging for bag pickup and getting into the beer tent

Really hot race in June in Texas. Overall an average race with not a lot to look at. The 10k does an out and back while the half marathon might have a more scenic race. This might be a maybe moving forward.
Arriving there and getting my bib and shirt was easy. Shirt is a tanktop which is a plus.

This use to be one of my favorite races and I have ran it since 2018. They changed the course to run down Ross Ave instead of Deep Ellum. This led to more hills and a lot of congestion for Marathon runners having to weave in and out of slow group. Very dangerous and I hope they change that in future. The shirts and swag is always great. The after party was pack and led to a congestion on the bridge to get to the back of the convention center. Poorly ran which is surprising because it didn’t use to be
