Kate Lund's Staging Area

It is the best atmosphere from start to finish. The start line with the grassy field is sooo nice! Everyone is excited and happy; the volunteers are so awesome! They are kind and excited for everyone. It is a fun race to get a good time, but it also feels relaxed. The finish line is fun, great snacks. You get to relax and enjoy your beer 🙂 My only point for consideration is the t shirts- the ability to choose your color is cool, but probably not something that is super important to me. The process for picking up the shirt could be improved logistically; they had it set up by groups alphabetically, some letters of first names are far less common so that helper was standing around when they could have just helped more people in line. Maybe spread the t shirts out further down the street like bloomsday so there is more room for the workers in the tent to get shirts for runners. But all in all, I was hanging out in the sun, eating snacks and waiting in line which I was not mad about- just some ideas. We will be back next year, it is one of my favorite things to do all year!
