The course is tough but starting watching the sunrise in the desert and running up to the trees in the mountains? Priceless! Running against horses? Why not, we all have good and bad days LOL
Prizes are great. Nice finishing medal/souvenir. You get to the finish line and get an empty glass with the event’s logo on it and you get to fill it with your favorite tap beverage at THE BREWERY, right there (and keep the glass). Beer should be it. YUMS! Then you get fed! And if you ran well you might get a belt buckle for your age group! The shirt is nice too.
It got hot, but the last 7 miles of the marathon are downhill and aid stations every few miles make it totally runnable. I had a great race day and kicked butt.
