Lots of aid stations that were always well-stocked! Fun snacks throughout the whole 15K – chocolate, marshmallows, gatorade, and water. It’s well worth submitting your past times for a preferred corral so you can start soon after the start time. Lots of chocolate (hot chocolate and a personal fondue), cookies, and other treats at the end of the run. The race fleece is cute too!

The course was scenic and flat. It was an easy run, so I was able to go wine tasting and shopping and explore for the rest of the day (and weekend). Saturday race day is a huge plus so we still had all day Sunday to do tastings and explore the adorable city of Woodinville. There wasn’t any beer at the finish line party, and the beverage tent was so tiny that people were being turned away, but hopefully they will work on that for next year. The folks at Stance also made it fun with their “sole mate” program!

What’s better than water stops during a half? WINE STOPS! This was my first time running Healdsburg, but probably the most fun of my 12+ half-marathons! Great wine, great post-race party that was set up nicely, and the tiny town of Healdsburg is amazing with top notch restaurants and tasting rooms. Can’t wait to return! Saturday race day leaves plenty of time for scheduling wine tastings Saturday and Sunday!
