I placed 2nd in my age group only to wait around 55 minutes past awards that NEVER happened and still haven’t received an “OFFICIAL” email.
What a JOKE! And I’m an avid marathoner with many marathons under my belt, I know what a good event looks like. This is NOT it!!!

It was a great cold race.

however….some of the things that I don’t like are:
-I wish they would have same day race pickup. ( I live 2 hours away from St. louis and I try not to get a hotel room and just come up that day)
-They need to have more CHOCOLATE. All you get at the end is a little cup of hot chocolate, mini bag of pretzels, 1 marshmallow, a mini banana, and some fondu.

I love this race to close out my fall racing season and I am usually in the best shape which really reflected in my2016 race. I never thought I could break 1:20 much less do so well on the downtown winding course (that includes quite a few steady inclines and a big hill at mile 8). The course has changed since then (it was in Forest park in Dec. 2017) but the new course is also pretty and moderately hilly. This St. Louis 15 k always makes for a good workout! The finish line treats are delicious and I can almost guarantee perfect running weather for you in December! Organization for the St. Louis Hot Choco has been on point all 4 years I’ve run it. Highly recommend!

Lots of aid stations that were always well-stocked! Fun snacks throughout the whole 15K – chocolate, marshmallows, gatorade, and water. It’s well worth submitting your past times for a preferred corral so you can start soon after the start time. Lots of chocolate (hot chocolate and a personal fondue), cookies, and other treats at the end of the run. The race fleece is cute too!
