A lot of water and porta potty stations made it really nice. There was GU gels at mile 7 and 17 but if you need more I’d suggest you take some with you on the run. I loved the timers and the pacer teams too. Get there early so you have enough time to park and get situated (i.e use porta potty, pick up the packet at the center right next to the race). the shirt was cool although my size was sold out so I have a bigger size. You start and finish at the same spot so that makes it extremely helpful as well. I never got my bling because of medical issues that made it so I was unable to finish so I can’t comment on that. The weather is fairly good this time of year so I didn’t need any extra clothing.

You definitely need to go for the full weekend (or even just the night before). Since the marathon is a straight shot, it is super easy for your supporters to follow along, cheer you on, give you some food, etc. The volunteers and people who cheered us on were fantastic. I wish there were clocks and/or pacer teams along the way. There were plenty of water stations and gu stations. The starting line was a little disorganized but it worked lol. The finish line was awesome! The course was good….rough the first half but great the second half which was what I needed by that point. Can’t wait to run it again!
