Heather Bradbury's Staging Area

This was my first time participating in the Red Rock Canyon race. The race itself was absolutely stunning the course was the perfect amount of challenging. (for me as a racer) My one comment is I was staying on the strip and the instructions on when the bus was arriving were unclear. Essentially I missed the bus and wasn’t able to check in for the race because check-in was the same day as the race not the day before like most other races I have done before. So I waited for the next bus which ended up b being an hour late, and my husband said the spectator bus never showed up he was there 8:45 when they said it was going to show up. (we paid an extra $30 each for the shuttle bus from the strip). I was not the only one who this happened too as well there was a group of us who missed the bus for the half marathon and had to wait (In the cold mind you) until about 8 o’clock when the next bus finally showed up. So there was 2 hours in between there being buses from the strip to the event. Then at the end of the race I finished a couple of hours before the rest of my group but then we had to wait another hour for the next bus back to the strip. My muscles were cramping very bad due to sitting out in the cold for so long. This was my first time traveling for a race is this normal for shuttle buses? am I being dramatic? I don’t know but that just what happened.
