The first edition of this race was quite a treat. The first part of the course overlooked the Pacific, while the second one even included some trail running under majestic … MORE
The first edition of this race was quite a treat. The first part of the course overlooked the Pacific, while the second one even included some trail running under majestic Monterey cypresses. The final part of the trail section was way too narrow to have runners in both directions, which hopefully will be corrected next year. The course was flat and well-marked throughout, with helpful volunteers at every tricky spot. Water and Gatorade stations were plentiful. The expo was tiny, with almost no swag, and with little choice in terms of food or drink to recover from the race.
