The race course and just about every aspect was high quality. I was disappointed when I looked at online results and saw that the timing had added 20 seconds to my time. They said my time was 40:53 but my watch said 40:33. In 2019, I had problems with 2 runs and when I complained a 2nd time, a man named Eric Ewing with the timing company was a bit rude to me in an email, suggesting I not show up for future runs. In 2021 races, I did not have any timing issues but this race was different. Please look at the photo below taken by your photographer. I am crossing the finish line and the clock says 9:55:52. The 5K started at 9:15:00 so at the very least my time would be 40:52. I did not cross the start line exactly at 9:15:00. I am not a fast runner so I usually start in the back. Since it is a chip timed event the clock should only be running for me when I cross the starting mats and finish mats. With my time being padded by 20 seconds, It is almost as if you made my start time 9:15:00 and not approx. 9:15:19 when it likely occurred. My 2nd concern is the finish line photos. I cannot speak for the half-marathon, walking half marathon, or 10K runners but as I reviewed the 5K finish photos, most of the top runners are completely missing. Here are the top 10 5K finishers – name and bib# 1) Cordean Denny 27 2) Scot Auble 261 3) Jae Walz 614 4) Pepper Root 538 5) Dixie Sefton 785 6) Lucas Reynolds 589 7) Peter Tollackson 209 8) Noah Reischman 389 9) Quin Walz 612 10) Noah Hunt 254 When you look up these 10 individuals in the photo results, the result is the same – “no photos matching bib xxx found” I only searched the top 10 but I have a feeling many more individual finish line photos are missing. I could understand the photos missing certain runners because their number was not visible but how can the top 10 runners of the 5K be completely missing? Even if the finish line photographer took the photos as runners crossed the finish line mats with the time clock on the left visible in the photo, there should be photos of every finisher. I am curious if anyone else reported an inaccurate time or if anyone else was disappointed not to find their finish line photo.
