The race is very well organized and went off right on time. Parking is pretty good and the staging area is on grass. The only problem is the weather – it’s really hot in California in July! I registered for the 10K, which is actually 2x the 5k. So, when it was time to start the next lap, I decided to sprint for the 5K finish instead! Best decision I’ve made in years!

Challenging course – downhill start with big hill at 2 miles – back down to slight uphill finish. But, well organized, and family friendly (a lot of young people, strollers, etc.). I run it every year with my friends – see a lot of neighbors and the kids from the local high school. Also love the fact that the race is supported by A Snail’s Pace Running Store so age group winners receive gift certificates!!!

Anyway, nice staging area – on grass – with good food, live music, very family-friendly! Kid’s race starts really late and awards even later so seldom every stay. Also have to walk, run, or bus back to start.
