Revel race production was very smooth from start to finish. Excellent communications throughout the process.

If you enter a Revel race thinking all downhill is easy-peasy, your body will let you know this is not the case. The muscles used for downhill are not accustomed to steady use for any length of time.

If another Revel race fits what I’m looking for, I would do it. So very well run!

1000 person cap on the half with about 400+ 10k running at the same time. One hour early start available for anyone who expected to be at 3:15 or more to finish as course would close after four hours.
Incredibly well organized with lots of aid stations, portapotties, volunteers, and some of the best signage I’ve ever seen in 35 half marathons so it was very clear where to turn for which race.
Awesome, huge medal with spinning dice and moveable poker chips. Very nice tech fabric T-shirt and hooded long-sleeved shirt.

Very friendly volunteers. Well marked course. Very flat. Some spontaneous aid stations by spectators plus sufficient official aid stations. Nice after party. MORE

Fantastic small event! This is a point-to-point race that starts in Arkansas and ends in downtown Greenville, MS. They transport runners to their start line on school busses. The time limit is 7 hours for both the full and half. We appreciated that the busses stayed at the start until it was time for us to walk up the bridge to our start line as it was 26 degrees when we started. There were plenty of porta-potties at the start and you could get on and off the heated busses as needed.

Once you got over the lovely suspension bridge over the Mississippi River, there were aid stations and porta-potties just about every mile. At about mile 6 you turned off the highway and shortly went through a beautiful gated community of lovely large houses. The community had their own aid station to make you feel welcome.

There was plentiful police presence at intersections throughout the race to keep you safe. The after-race food was inside the race headquarters building right at the finish line with plenty of food, drink, and chairs. The medal was awesome, the people were friendly, and (other than the bridge) the course was flat. If you sign up for this race, book your stay early at the Hotel 27, which is a short city block walk from the busses and two blocks from race headquarters. Very nice hotel in a converted historical building with friendly staff.

I highly recommend this race!

20,000 total participants across five races. 10K, half, and full held together. I’m a back-of-the-pack fairly slow walker these days. It took a half hour from the start of the race for my corral to cross the starting line, but the atmosphere waiting was great.

The expo, race and post-race are super organized with routing of people through well-organized by an army of volunteers. If I didn’t live six hours away, I would definitely make this an annual event.

Smaller race that was very well run. Expo is basically a packet pick up with friendly volunteers. Race course is through a lovely recreation area, the jewel of which is a unique pedestrian bridge over the river to Council Bluffs, Iowa. Excellent course support with plentiful bike support. Very well-marked course. Lots of food and drink at the end. I loved the long-sleeved tech shirt with a V-neck collar! If this was not 6.5 hours from my hone, I’d definitely do this event again.
