The Monumental Marathon offers a flat & fast course. For me, the highlight of the race was going around monument circle. Swag and aid stations were good. This race was a little boring, it went into the neighborhoods for a good portion of the run, with not many spectators.

Extremely well-organized and very fun race! The city goes all out with the pig theme. The crowds are amazing & the swag is hilarious. I ran this in 2023 when we had torrential downpour for most of the race and the amount of folks still out cheering were unbelievable. The course definitely has some hills but this is a top tier race. The amenities and expo were on par with major marathons.
For me highlights were: the bacon station, the Jimmy Buffet aid station, the free Flying Pig backpack, the expo, and the amount of cheering spectators there were out on the course.

Amazing expo and race. Crowd support was excellent and the course is never boring. Beautiful architecture, great atmosphere, overall awesome race. Start was easy to get to, I look the train from my hotel room and then walked only a few blocks to my corral.
Fast and relatively flat course.

My time was terrible for this race because it was record heat that year and I was honestly undertrained. The course was great with good crowds downtown. This race weekend showed me how cool the city of Burlington is.

Major marathon. Huge crowds and fantastic expo. I stayed over at a hotel on Staten Island which had a shuttle to the start for us, so I did not have to worry about the ferry or anything. The slight incline on the bridges is BRUTAL. I was underprepared for this race but I still had such a fun time. It was really an experience. Amazing to feel the different personalities of the different neighborhoods.

Beautiful views throughout this course though the hills are tough. Good swag, we got a fleece zip up which I still wear all the time. The finish is at Schroon Lake. I loved taking off my shoes and wading in after the race.
Not huge crowds or a ton of spectators.
