Parking is like 20 yards from start area. You can leave kit in he car. It’s very hilly – 3 monster climbs but there is a great section of single track in the middle. Fantastic views if the weather permits. Brazen do a great job with aid stations, t shirts and bling. This is a race you’ll want to do over and over. Not many toilets en route. Think this is one of the best trail half’s in the Oakland area.

Race is expensive but well produced – they close streets and you get to see some pretty parts of SF and a little Marin- Chrissy Field,Fort Baker, presidio, golden gate. You run through haughty Ashbury Potrero and Mission Bay. Starts early. Starts early. Really enjoyed the full Marathon experience.

The marathon course changed to 2x the half a couple weeks before. This was a bummer- my expectations were low but actually the course was good fun. The support up Broadway was excellent which is just as well because we ran it 4 times. Timing, expo and after party all well done. Course well marked. Overall production was very good.

The course winds through some pretty parks and past wineries. This is my fav road course for a half in the Bay Area. The town is all in and there is a great party after. 2022 was the best one yet great energy at finish – great support form locals.

This is a handicaped race which is kind of fun but it is just a blast to run. Steep climbs and steep decents with some single track – save you legs for the technical downhill stretch at the end. Whatever you ability come enjoy this race – it’s is even a beautiful hike.
