Where else can you run 26.2 miles and get a glimpse of long horned cows, cowboy history, cool and funky neighborhoods, tijana music, elvis, and water water every mile or so! What a great race, and even greater support! My 30th marathon – this one definitely ranks among the top race support experiences.

When traveling through Wyoming, might as well run a marathon, right? Got the state marathon done...but wow...what a hot and hilly (more than expected) course. Too much heat...not enough water. … MORE
When traveling through Wyoming, might as well run a marathon, right? Got the state marathon done…but wow…what a hot and hilly (more than expected) course. Too much heat…not enough water. The volunteers were so pleasant, the race director super helpful. Just…not…enough…water for the surprising heat. I think many felt the pain of the heat. But the course wound through Cheyenne – a good tour of the city. The Air Force Base was lovely to run through – a highlight. And the last half mile, from the Capitol downhill – well planned! Perhaps a little more festive at the end?
