Packet pickup was very easy. Everyone I encountered was smiling and friendly. My boys and I LOVE the blanket from the race. After studying the map, I chose street parking on race day. I can imagine if you’re not familiar with Celebration, not having centralized parking would be the most stressful part of the race since arrival is in the dark. I enjoyed the walk over to the start as a warm-up. It was easy to find the start, along with Port-a-potties past the start line. Pacers were very well marked, so it was easy to find the right place to wait to start. The DJ helped everyone to dance and stay upbeat on a 47 degree morning. The race app was great to keep me motivated, and I loved having the pacers on the course. The race itself was beautiful. I loved watching the sun come up as we ran by the golf course, all the fun signs, and the plentiful residents cheering everyone on along the way. My aim was to break 2 hours, which I did by over 4 minutes! The medal is really gorgeous. Finally, having the opportunity to stroll around downtown Celebration and have included food samples after the race made recovery a breeze. Overall it was a really wonderful experience and I would be grateful to return.
