The expo is pretty small with not a lot of options to buy things or see products, there was only one stand where you could buy energy gels, chews, or hydration. Aside from that one spot, the other vendors were of random products/services that add little to no value to the expo.
The race itself is not flat, it is full of ups and downs that seem to be flat but you end up feeling them. If you like running alone, this is the race for you… I ran pretty much alone in the course between the 28th and 35th km, the only people I saw in that section of the course, were the volunteers at a hydration station. That being said, the hydration stations had just a handful of volunteers and in the early stages o the race, where the pack has not broken up a lot, it was tough to get a cup.
There’s little cheering across the course, only a few pockets of people cheering/spectating, which makes it extra hard to be running alone and absolutely not a single soul cheering…

This is truly a marvelous event; everything around it is amazing.
The only pain point I had, were the cups; they use large, hard plastic cups for the electrolytes which are incredibly uncomfortable to drink from.
