This was my first 5k (excluding virtual and my independent regular runs) and I had a blast. The course is flat, uses city streets, and takes you past entertainment industry … MORE
This was my first 5k (excluding virtual and my independent regular runs) and I had a blast. The course is flat, uses city streets, and takes you past entertainment industry icons such as Sony Pictures (former MGM lot) and the current Amazon/MGM studio. Along the way, entertainers and supporters cheer racers on in singing, music, and many are dressed resembling Hollywood’s golden age. Water is available in multiple spots on the course. The pre/post race area has multiple area health providers (e.g. gyms, masseurs) and running groups, a few food trucks, and restrooms. Some runners race in costume (from The Wizard of Oz, Ghostbusters, Superman for example) and participate in the costume context.
