Swag was a long sleeve shirt with a nice design on it. You had to be bussed to the start but there were plenty of busses to get you there and back to your car. The race started 15 minutes before sunset and you basically ran 6.55 miles up to the turnaround and back, 1200′ of elevation. It was awesome when nearing the halfway point to see the Vegas strip in the distance. Make sure you have a headlamp with good battery life. If crowd support is important to you then this race is not for you, but if running in a beautiful outdoor area sounds wonderful then this is your race. Information on the website was ok, swag was never revealed but the shirt and medal are nice.

Joyce from Calico always puts on a fun and beautiful filled race as well as her volunteers. Ran the 5k since returning back to “jogging” and the Twilight start at Red Rock was beautiful as always. Not too packed on a there and back course of 5, 10, or Half race. Always a pleasure running Calico races.

The run began exactly 15 minutes before the sunset, so we had a beautiful view of the skies and mountains as we began running. The last half of the course is done in the dark, so you have a to bring a headlamp and reflective vest, as you are running along a trafficked road.
This race is on the smaller side, which I personally enjoy. The lines to pick up your racing packet were long, but moved quite fast, and I found that most of it was relatively well organized (bar the busses, which seemed to be mixed up between the free bus and the paid bus from the strip).
The course itself was unexpectedly hilly and very windy. I almost got pushed off the road into a bush toward the beginning, the winds were that strong! It got chilly toward the end, but of course the cardio I was doing kept me warm!

Very rolling hill like pathway course. A bit confusing incorporating the other race too with the many turn-a-round points. Overall a good challenging course. Always fun running a Calico Race. MORE
