The run began exactly 15 minutes before the sunset, so we had a beautiful view of the skies and mountains as we began running. The last half of the course is done in the dark, so you have a to bring a headlamp and reflective vest, as you are running along a trafficked road.
This race is on the smaller side, which I personally enjoy. The lines to pick up your racing packet were long, but moved quite fast, and I found that most of it was relatively well organized (bar the busses, which seemed to be mixed up between the free bus and the paid bus from the strip).
The course itself was unexpectedly hilly and very windy. I almost got pushed off the road into a bush toward the beginning, the winds were that strong! It got chilly toward the end, but of course the cardio I was doing kept me warm!

This race was the best race a first-timer could have asked for. The location and scenery were breathtaking, aid stations were numerous, and there were multiple photographers. It was also very flat and well organized! Definitely would do again.
