The 10K course was pretty flat. Stadium finish was a nice touch, and a great place to hang out post-race for a burger and spectating. The swag was as good as any I’ve seen. Got a text with the official results as soon as I crossed the finish line. Overall a seamless production.

2nd time running the Helvetia Half – I think this is one of the best HM’s in the PDX area today. Production and swag are top notch as well and so is the parking. The course has the right mix of challenging terrain and open road to let loose. I will be back for more for sure!

This was my first time running this race and I wasn’t disappointed. It was well put together. The volunteers were great. The course was challenging with all the hills but fun. I wasn’t running this one for time so I enjoyed it even though it rained. Loved the scenery passing by farmlands and the Helvetia Tavern. The post burger was delicious too!

The Helvetia 10K was extremely organized and a lot of fun to do! The course was clearly marked and most of it was flat which is what I needed to continue my training towards a half marathon. It is AMAZING to see yourself on the big display board as you walk into the field for the finish line. Makes you feel like a star!

This is my 8th time running this half marathon. I love it. It’s not to hilly but hilly enough for a little challenge. It is well organized and has so many water stops nobody will go thirsty. Where else can you go for a run in the country and have a big fat juicy Helvetia burger at the end. Hard work paid off.

Running on the streets of Hillsboro Oregon out in the fields is a cathartic experience. While there are some hills, the overall difficulty of the course is minimized by the last half being mostly downhill or flat. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will run it next year.

I’m sure if I was a runner I would have had a much different experience. As a walker, I was disappointed. I’m a fairly fast walker, so I wasn’t last. But around 10 miles, water stations were being taken down. When I finished, there was no fanfare. No music. It was like the event was over and there were still about 100 people out. The awards ceremony started (and ended) before walkers could even finish the course. It was a huge personal accomplishment for me, but there was no celebration.
Walkers should be allowed to start first so that they can finish with everyone else or festivities should last up until most walkers are finished.
Good race course. Miss Logie Trail.
