This race, which I’ve done 3 times now, gets better each year! The course is lovely – mostly flat down and back on a beautiful historic street through the city. The fans and entertainment are top notch! There was live music almost every other block and loads of fans with fun themes and signs throughout the course. The race really feels like a celebration of spring and running and good times all around. Finally, big shout out to Sportsbackers for their awesome organization of the race. I’ve run races in other cities by other organizers, and Sportsbackers really has it down to a science. Plenty of portapotties, lots of space in the starting corral, and a fun and well-executed post race party!

The other race participants, the cheering stations, and volunteers make this race the best. Packet pickup, the metal and shirt reveal, are also exciting. Definitely recommend it to all fitness levels.

Great Experience for 1st Race

It’s a pretty crowded race, so it would have been ideal to be in a seeded runners wave, but I’m not that fast. I had to weave in and out of a lot of walkers throughout the race but other than that it was smooth sailing.

I have never seen such a cheering section and so many racers on the course and it was ultimate experience for a runner and a must do! I am making this my yearly race! It was definitely rock star block party feeling! It definitely lives up to its hype in every way! Kudos to Sports Backers!! I highly recommend this race experience for everyone to do! Since it’s such a large event, it’s difficult to try to PR since there are so many people — I got tired of weaving by the end of it. But I may have also just been in the wrong wave!
