I love my medal and put it with all my others right away. The day started off warmer than usual and stayed that way. I was glad I got to do all 6.2 miles despite this.
There were enough water/gatorade stations to keep hydrated. Neighbors were giving out water as well. Some houses kept their hoses running so we could get a brief misting shower.
The post race party was fun as always. I got my pictures with my medal, as in years past. I plan to do this race as long as I am in Richmond. I love the party atmosphere and group support. The people who compete in costumes are great to watch.

This is a great race for all who want to run or walk. It is a great way to see the city and be part of the party. This is a great way to get exercise while being part of the Richmond community. Even if you sign up by yourself, you will have a good time.
I loved seeing all the costumes, the creativity of the racing community is really great. I saw a fisherman and fish costume along the route.

This race was well organized, full of water stations, good bands and lots of spectators cheering on while runners /walkers competed this year. I was able to do this closest to the my fastest time. I recommend anyone who wants to do a 10K to try this one.

I have done this race since 2013. I love that it is for a good cause in helping those with cancer. The race remains competitive, the spectators and volunteers’ energy helps keep me moving along. I like to see all the costumes and porch parties. I plan to continue doing this race each year.
