Team Holloman is opening the gates and inviting families and friends in Alamogordo and the surrounding areas to join us for an adrenaline-filled day of sportsmanship and competition.
Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, there is an event for everyone. Holloman Ace of Races offers four events: Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and the Kids Dash. Join us and be a part of Holloman AFB’s inaugural marathon!
The course is nestled between the Sacramento Mountains and the glistening gypsum dunes of White Sands National Park, passing by points of Air Force history along the way. With only 32 to 300 feet of elevation gain, the race provides a uniquely flat course and favorable climate, creating the perfect conditions for your first and/or fastest 26.2, 13.1 or 3.1 miler! With less than a mile to finish, run through the static aircraft and equipment on display, showcasing our unique mission. In a typical military cadence, the race ends with a “left, right, left” to closeout its last half mile.
It is not over yet! After crossing the finish line, celebrate your accomplishment with family, friends, and fellow participants, right across the street. The post-race event will feature entertainment and food.

Packet pick up should have been race morning due the low number of participants. However, day of race packet pick up was not offered. Runners from EL PASO had to make 2 trips just to get packages/bibs.
