The Harding Halloween Half Marathon will start and finish at Ginty Field in Morris Township, featuring a very scenic, single loop course through one of NJ’s most beautiful areas!

– Free post-run pizza from the Columbia Inn Food Truck!

Special prizes will also be given out for the best Halloween costumes!
Water stations will be located approximately every 2.5 miles along the course. Sports Drink and Halloween candy will also be available at some of the stations.
The course time limit is 3 hours.
Want to be a part of the Halloween Half Marathon fun, but not up to running 13.1 miles? Form a team and see how far you can go in 60 minutes! Runners will run laps around Ginty Field (it’s about 0.5 miles around) for 60 minutes. You can split it up however you would like! Great way for kids to participate! Keep track of your own laps! (honors system) Teams can have up to 5 members! All participants in the relay will receive a long sleeved tech shirt and a finisher medal! Prizes for the top 3 teams that cover the most distance!
Fuel up after your run with free bananas, water, Gatorade, soft pretzels from Philly Pretzel Factory and FRESH, HOT PIZZA from the Columbia Inn’s food truck! Atlantic Health will be providing post-run massages and Crunch Fitness will have some great raffle prizes!

New couse this year, with an interesting up hill start.
The group of runners I was with, about 2 miles into the race, were stopped by police guards along the course to let a police and emergency vehicle through. Turns out there was a vehicle accident along the course about 400 meters ahead of us.
There was adequate water stations along the course, particularly since it was a cold and rainy day to start.
The from about mile 11.5 to mile 13 was a strategically placed uphill run, with about 200 meter downhill sprint to the finish.
The finisher medals were excellent. Very interesting and fun Halloween design. Looking forward to running again this coming year.
