This was a beautiful course. The start takes you around the lake and then it’s paved or packed dirt the rest of the way. The elevation of 8500’ makes this race hard if you’re from out of town. The course has a few small inclines but is a net downhill of 1000’. I’d recommend staying in Idaho Springs over Georgetown as there is more to do.

This race was well organized and going over the bridge was spectacular! The hills in this race are no joke! The scenery was beautiful and Cascade Lock is a fun weekend trip. Register early bc this race sells out. We were wait listed and by the time we got off it was difficult to find a place to stay.
