I loved pacing the 2:00 half marathon distance at this venue! This was a great race! Looks like most of my 2:00 runners had a hard time after 10 mile mark because there were some rolling roads… it was a great and memorable weekend! I did envy the marathon medal!

Cold morning. High 40’s. Which made it harder to warm up and launch when the gun went off. After 3 mile my feet started to move and had a great race. I loved the food trucks, beer garden, free Evian, LaceUp water bottles, and the photo podium! I brought my son and his friend, we all PR’ed for the half!

It felt very hot late morning for the race. I think All aid stations ran out of Gatorade after the first 3 hours. Pretty flat course. The “boardwalk” gets a little congested and narrow at some points which could force you to slow you down. I would do this race again.

Water and goo stations were plentyful which made the race so much more enjoyable! The weather was cooperative. The only thing I will do differently next time is to bring/wear my sunglasses!
