A nice race for my 20th state

This race was my 57th marathon and 20th state. I was so glad the weather did not get as bad as it could have gotten and the marathoners were able to complete the distance. The Hangout was a great place for the start and finish. The lunch after the race was also nice.
My main complaint was there were 3 options of times to sign up for a return shuttle back to the Lodge which was the host hotel and I chose 2:45. I finished in just under 6 and a half hours and this was the only option available with the time I knew I would do. There was also another gentleman who had signed up. We were both out at the street waiting around 2:30 and at 3:00 it still had not showed up. We got to talking to a couple who were there about waiting for the shuttle and it not showing up and they offered both of us a ride back to Lodge. That was very kind of them. I don’t know what happened but that is not ok to leave participants waiting and not follow through. I hope this is corrected for next year.
Otherwise, it was a great experience and I would recommend the race.
