I was looking for a 42K training run that fit my calendar and that I could wear shorts to run – Red Rock fit the bill. The location was just breathless, as was I after running the hills. The race was small & seemed very much like a club run in terms of community — lots of conversation, lots of empathy, lots of good vibes — very much like a community event. Calico communications & logistics were flawless. The only drawback was using BLM land meant difficulty with spectators following the racers, but even there Calico arranged for transportation to the site for spectators. I really enjoyed this event!
