Hills! 200+ ft climbs at mile 2.5, mile 5, and mile 7, and they were all 5°+ of incline. The first half of the race is brutal! The heat and humidity will tap into your reserves with the hills early, so you should be prepared for this one. Run Project always organizes a great race, and this was no exception. The swag was in line with all other races, the volunteers had hydration at almost every mile, and cyclists monitored the runners along the course in case of an emergency / injury. The scenery was good and a decent mix of nature, suburban, and urban settings. The start and finish is right by the hotel, so we literally walked down for the race and crawled back up to clean up after since we drove in from out of town.

The whole race experience was great! The event has an app to keep you updated on everything as well as a tracker to track friends / family. The pre-race expo had lots of activities, vendors, and swag. The race itself was well organized, the corrals at the start were managed well, and start was not crowded. The course hit all of the major sites in Fort Worth, including the massive ramp / hill between the Stockyards and downtown. The post-race celebration was great too! The only opportunity I saw was the corrals should be based on expected completion time so faster runners can get out quicker and less traffic from slower runners
