This was a smaller race, but competitive. I only saw about 5 people walking during the entire half, which was great. The course was very hilly so made it challenging. The expo was extremely small. The communication was pretty sparse (for instance, most of us finally got an email about 3 weeks before the race saying our time had been accepted – this was LONG after we had booked flights and hotels, etc – so definitely they should verify our times long before for subsequent years). aid stations every couple of miles, so that was sufficient.
overall, a well run event.

The most unique aspect is you get a Santa outfit to wear. That’s really fun. The course is extremely flat so get ready to set a PR! Pick up your packet as early as possible or they’ll be out of your shirt size!
