I have always been impressed with the OC half-marathon as the organizers improve the experience each year. The volunteers are present all the steps from mile 1 to 13. The route is flat with some nice drops and a couple of easy hills that challenge your strengths and your mind. I particularly love the finish festivities. The band is exciting and gets you on the dance floor, the massage is available and ready to relax your body, the fish tacos are amazingly tasty, and all the vendors are here to cheer and congratulate you. This race is perfect for a first-timer or seasonal runner (This one was my first one in 2008 and I am still running it this year—hoping to run in 2017!)

A mostly flat course along the pacific coast with sea air and plenty of space to enjoy yourself. Organizer puts the runner as the top priority. From beginning to end, you will be well-taken care of. There are plenty of free parking for the expo and street parking for your family to cheer you. At the end of the race, enjoy complimentary beers and festivities. This is a perfect race for you the runner and your family to enjoy together.
