Surf City is a nice race in the winter. The weather was perfect the day before the race, enjoyed the warmth of the sun as we sat on the the beach. Race morning was nice…cooler with cloud cover. The course is a tad monotonous on the Pacific Coast Highway section. The bus shuttle was great!

This was a last minute race and a pricey one for waiting until the last minute to sign up, but a cheap airfare average out the costs. Great run and fun after party. Beautiful East coast race in the winter. Small town feel with good hospitality. I would run it every year if I lived closer!

This is a fun race atmosphere minus the cold. Cold is hard on a California girl, but it does help with running faster. Great course and fun after party. Won an age award and had lots of fun celebrating Louisiana style. Highly recommend. They didn’t have shirts for us, but they did mail them to us shortly after which was awesome!
