This race went really well given the conditions. As with any large marathon event in a smaller city, the race had some hiccups with the start being delayed 15minutes. As many runners are very specific about getting to a race, and ready to run, this was challenging given the impending heat. The heat continued to beat down on the runners the longer they were out. I would say that this race is going to be a lot better in the future, and given this situation, runners are going to feel more negatives from this race than positives. However, knowing the race staff and director, this is going to be a great race in the city of Canton. Come back and enjoy the festivities!
