I love Orca Running races! Always well organized, plenty of swag & treats at the end. Smooth, efficient & professionally coordinated. Love that photos are free too, unlike other races. I like the crowd that Orca Running races attracts, especially this race (more serious runners, not so many kids). I like the age group awards and the overall fun, welcoming environment. Great course and location. Well done, Orca!

Kudos to the Orca Running team for an event well planned and organized! It was a lot of fun–especially on Halloween. One did not have to feel weird not having a pirate outfit–any costume goes at this run! Great way to kick off Halloween! The course was well marked out and the amazing volunteers did a great job helping direct runners.
I appreciated how Orca Running required and checked vaccination status of all runners. I like how the results were made available instantly (can’t stand runs where you have to hit refresh & check your screen for the rest of the day!) and photos are free. It was a fun event–loved being able to share in Captain Jack’s booty, yaaargh!
Now for the nitty gritty–wish more people wore masks and were a bit more aware at the start and finish line. Wish there were more waves to separate people and that walkers/kids were more aware to start at the back. Gear check was also hard to find–in our emails, it said to look for a truck. Ended up that’s not where the gear was kept.
This was my first Captain Jack’s Treasure Run–did the previous year, but virtually.
Swag was awesome–the medal is one of my favorites! Orca truly made it a fun event!
