I did Cowtown 1/2 last year as my first 1/2 marathon and fell in love with the distance and run. Great crowd support, cool scenery, awesome fellow runners! This year it became my first full marathon. What an amazing challenge, the race support is awesome, especially motivating are all the families and people along the way that are full of smiles, encouraging you to go onward as they provide food, snacks, and refreshments they so generously provide at their own cost; amazing!!! Will definitely return to run again next year!!!

This is a hidden treasure few have heard of. Starts slow, going through industrial areas, leading into neighborhoods, and finally running by the river on top of the levie. Great adventure, not much crowd support, but well worth the venture; cool change of scenery with New Orleans style all around you!
