Great, mostly flat course through the suburbs of Davis; think bike paths, parks, sporting fields, extra park bathrooms, etc. Two short climbs of under 50ft. Gravel, trail section is 2 miles long between 5.2 and 7.2. Rest is asphalt (yay!) and sidewalk (boo). Some spectators here and there; finish line clears out if you’re a slower HM runner. Received a medal, tshirt, banana and offered cut up bagels, granola bars. Could be a great place for a PR if you plan for two climbs and 2 miles of gravel.

Pick up was cool at the Giants stadium.
The shirt was pretty but junky.
Only water at the finish but more snacks in the stadium. Clean bathrooms there too
Parking was free and easy for the expo and race
Well organized start with lots of porta potties and finish. Pancake flat and you can’t beat the scenery.
Will not run again. Probably more fun for SF Giants fans.

The hills are no joke, especially the one in the Marin headlands. I highly recommend you train for them, including the baby hill at the end. Beautiful course: a definite bucket list race with the course working its way through some of the most iconic (and safe) parts of San Francisco. Folks are friendly, energy is great and the scenery is amazing. Good luck!

This road race is mostly in Golden Gate Park except for a 4 or so block out/back in the Haight. Some baby hills but mostly flat except the last mile or so that is downhill (right past the buffalo green). I’d do it again maybe try the half.
