Coming from Indiana the sand was the most challenging aspect of this course. It had my calves working like they had never been worked before ultimately leading to some unexpected pain through my right leg for half the race. It was a true fight to the finish. Absolutely beautiful course though which helped ease my pain. Haha. Incredible volunteers at each station. All well stocked I might add!
