I enjoyed this half marathon, a great way to see how you’re doing in training. Almost for the first half, it’s relatively flat until about where the 10k runners break off. For the Half Marathon, the last half gets hilly especially surprise hills by the high school, Daniels Street, and up Triplett. One thing I didn’t like is how they put the starting line in the proving grounds (I liked it before where the start and finish lines were the same spot and it made it feel like a tease when you crossed the finish line for the first time after the first couple of miles). But other than that, it’s a decent half marathon course.

I normally ran the Akron Half, but ran the 2019 Full marathon. This time they started all racers at Stan Hywett Hall and the half marathon runners ran through West Akron, as opposed to running along downtown. This one was a challenging course.
