Great partners/sponsors combined their friendly vibes with the positive energy that emanated from each of the Evergreen crew of staff and volunteers. TWO awesome on-course photographers took a ton of killer photographs, and threw out a bunch of encouragement on course. Each turn was clearly marked. I do get award/medal envy when I see the beautiful medals the Orca road running cousins get though.

course markings were very clear with combo of chalk arrows and confidence streamers. while most of the course was gently rolling wide trail, it had just enough vert and technical singletrack to get you shouting WOOHOO! Warm and friendly race staff at check in and starting line.

Race organizers were brilliant with communication prior to day of race. Day of race all at start were lovely. Did not have sufficient marking and lack of volunteers at key junctures = too many runners skipped whole segments, too many took wrong turns. My wrong turn cost me 7+ minutes and burned too many matches. Others’ wrong turns out them ahead of much faster runners, to be passed in final 4-5 miles.
