This was my first marathon and it has skewed my expectations for all other marathons. This marathon is absolutely breathtaking in its scenery, and being out on the road with just other runners and the views is perfect. The wind is vicious, and the hills are daunting, but they just enhance this entire experience. It is truly unique.
The aid stations are well run and the volunteers are so kind. Everything was very well organized, and the communication leading up to race day was very clear and informative. I am so happy to have had the opportunity to participate in this race, and for it to be my first marathon. I will be raving about this experience for the foreseeable future.
