This course has HILLS, but there is incredible crowd support the entire way, even for back of the packers like me. I used to be mostly a trail runner, but I thought I ought to give my city’s big race a shot. Definitely glad I did, and I’ll be back next year to take a crack at the full. I do wish that the race shirts were tech shirts instead of cotton, and I’d have loved to have gotten a slice of vegan pizza at the finish line (since it was LaRosa’s, and they’ve got some pretty good vegan options) but those are small gripes in the grand scheme of things.
