Zombie 5K Trail Run course features lovely rolling hills into a quiet parkland setting up an incline and into the woods — being chased by zombies!

This event is designed to encourage everyone who embraces physical activity to join us at Marshall Middle School in The Plains, VA in a race against Zombie domination. The pasturelands surrounding MMS, marked by post and rail fencing and stonewalls still today, make it easy to see how this lovely area received its distinctive name dating back to 1749. Marshall Middle School is nestled in the middle of this lovely horse country and offers rolling hills, wooded areas and paved running surfaces. The Kid’s Fun Run and 5k Trail Run have been carefully designed to take advantage of this beautiful scenery. Come join as we start on the grassy plains of athletic fields, head cross-country to the paved trail of the local Northern Fauquier Community Park, and up an incline into the woods to escape the Zombies chasing us. Be prepared for the run of your life! Profits will benefit classroom instruction. NOTE: This can be a challenging course.
