Test Your Physical Endurance and Mental Fortitude
Welcome to the first ever Zion 100-Mile Challenge! In this new kind of running challenge, it’s YOU against YOU. So how far will you go? Which Milestone will you reach?
Making Ultras More Accessible
Covering 100 miles on foot is no easy task but with professional training, an encouraging community, round-the-clock support from industry-leading event staff and Milestone achievements along the way, it’s possible!
100-mile races are not unique on their own. Athletes have been towing the line in hopes of earning one of those coveted belt buckles for decades. But at Milestone Events, it is not just the finish line we focus on. We celebrate every Milestone along the way and the growth that happens with every stride between each of them.
With the Milestone Events 100-Mile Challenge, the goal of every registered athlete is to run 100 miles in 60-hours or less. On the way, you’ll pass Milestones, each marking a new achievement as you work toward your 100-mile finish, making that daunting distance a little less intimidating.
What the Event Looks Like
The structure of this event differs from other ultra races in that it is a 4-night, all-inclusive experience designed to help athletes break down their 100-mile target into smaller, more manageable goals we call Milestones. Each Milestone is an iconic race distance – 13.1, 26.2, 50K, 50 Mile, 100K and 100 Mile.
Athletes will run laps on the 10-mile loop course, marking each lap on the progress board, with specific markers for Milestone achievements as they work toward a 100-mile finish.
Between laps, athletes have the option to retreat back to their rooms to rest, eat the provided meals and snacks, and make use of the recovery options available.
The course opens and closes at specific times but other than that, the running schedule is up to each athlete – you run when you want to run and rest when you want to rest. But keep in mind, the goal is 100 miles and you have 60 hours to get there!

This was the most incredible race I’ve ever had the privilege of being a part of. From the incredible race directors to the seamless execution, every single detail was well thought out and nothing went overlooked. I couldn’t recommend this race or Milestone Events more and can’t wait to do another race with them.
