The You Matter Juneteenth Freedom 5K returns for its annual celebration at Fort Hunt Park in Alexandria, VA bringing together community, culture, and purpose in a way that feels more like a family reunion than a race. Set in a beautiful park setting, this high-energy, family-friendly event blends movement with celebration—music, a live DJ, games, and the feel of a backyard barbecue with people of all ages.

Participants from across the country run and walk to support scholarships for college-bound seniors in the DMV area. Finishers of the 5K will earn a one-of-a-kind, custom-designed medal, a meaningful keepsake to cherish long after race day. With the addition of a new “Freedom Lap,” there’s something for everyone.
