The CDPHP® Workforce Team Challenge, the largest annual road race in the Capital Region, is a 3.5-mile road race open to teams of employees from corporations, businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, not-for-profit corporations, and financial institutions.
Participating companies, organizations, and agencies use the event as a platform to provide health and fitness opportunities in the workplace while promoting goodwill and camaraderie among their employees.
Runners, joggers, and walkers are invited to participate. For the safety of all participants, no pets, children, strollers, baby joggers, walking sticks, headsets, backpacks, etc. are allowed.
The event is organized by, and serves as the major fundraiser for, the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC). The funds raised help underwrite many of HMRRC’s activities and offerings, including college scholarships, grants, many free races for members, and the Just Run® Program, which encourages grade school children to run for exercise and fun. CDPHP is now in its eighth year as the primary sponsor of this event. Each year, in conjunction with the race, HMRRC and CDPHP select one or more charities of choice, each of which receives a donation from CDPHP, as well as direct contributions from race participants.
