The mission of the WRA is to address the special needs of women’s fitness, while promoting health and fitness through running and walking.
Women Run Arkansas is the organizing force behind the FREE WRA 5K training clinics which are held for 10 weeks each spring across the state. The first clinic was held in Conway, Arkansas in 1997. Since then, clinics have been held throughout Central Arkansas and the state. Concluding clinic training, Women Run Arkansas sponsors the graduation WRA 5K in Conway to celebrate. The 5k is open to all ladies regardless of whether or not you participated in the training clinics. This 5k race is open to women only.
Clinic Participants must indicate as such on the race registration. Those not participating in clinic training must register in the open division. Clinic directors/leaders must register as a leader. Violations may result in disqualification. A second offense will result in a 3-year suspension from the race. A third offense will result in a lifetime ban from the race.
