WMNRUN Hilton Head Island Half & Quarter Marathon

Miles of sandy beach, sunshine, endless bike paths, Southern hospitality, poolside fire pits, beachfront sunrises: After two amazing running Retreats overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Another Mother Runner has answered the siren song to return again to beautiful Hilton Head Island, just off the South Carolina coast.

A half-marathon and quarter-marathon (6.55 miles) race will once again be the cornerstone of this running Retreat. We’ll either race on the hard-packed sandy beach at low tide (as we have the past two times on the island), or we’ll take part in the Hilton Head Half-Marathon and Quarter-Marathon.

Both events are run by a trusted local race organizer, and both highlight the area’s beauty, so we win either way! The Hilton Head Half/Quarter route is on leisure paths and one-lane roads parallel to the beach, with the start/finish just across from our hotel. The WMNRUN race starts and ends on the beach at our host hotel.

Both have memorable post-race parties (and massages!) and, best of all, Dimity and her cheer-gang will once again set up a cheer-tunnel for an energy-filled finish like you’ve never experienced! (Truly.)
