This race took place in historic downtown Wilmington, but we spent only the 1st and last mile going through downtown. The rest was along a trail that allowed us to see some industrial building, a prison, and cemetery. It was shaded in a lot of areas and had reasonable crowd support and water stops/aid stations. I did appreciate the pretty views of the city coming back on the steep bridge that was fun going down on the way out. Overall, it was worth the trip. I did Rock n Roll Philadelphia the next day and felt great.
