Grab your most fun-loving friends and join for food, fun, friendship, and a little running or walking through the park. With distances up to 50K in a low key, laid back atmosphere, with amazing support from our crew, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
This is the LAST RUNNING of this race. Space is VERY limited; once it’s sold out, it’s sold out!
There is a 12 hour time limit for all distances. Yes, you read that right, 12 hours. We don’t care if you’re fast or if you’re slow, we just care that you have a good time! These races are about fun and non-competitive; we’d prefer to race you vs. you. Feel free to run, walk, or prance your way from start to finish; there is no running police here!
Your registration fee includes entry into the race distance of your choosing, race swag, and finisher medal for all distances.
We’ll have the usual aid station setup including Gatorade, water, energy gels, salty snacks, sugary candy of all kinds, and fun treats! Because we’ve got some long ultra distances involved, heartier food options will be available throughout the day, including peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, BACON, chili, soups, pizza, grilled cheese, sodas, all kinds of crazy stuff!
Your entry fee also gets you access to our award-winning crew that will not only ring cowbells but give out high fives and provide unparalleled support. Whether you need a blister taped up or an encouraging hug or some tough love, the heart of any Awesomesauce operation is our race director and staff. This is a great race to nab that distance PR you’ve always wanted, with a supportive and fun atmosphere that will help you enjoy every mile!
The course is a paved 2 mile loop on the Ocala Greenway. It’s FLAT as can be! You will pass the start/finish/aid station area multiple times throughout the race. Wait – what?! We are running in loops? Yep! The beauty of a looped course means that no runners is ever alone; everyone gets to party together! This also means you’re welcome to leave a drop bag to access your own personal goodies, you can reapply sunscreen, address any potential issues such as blisters, etc. Due to the nature of this event, there is a strict cap of runners, so we recommend registering EARLY.
Shirts are NOT included in your race fee. We do give out race swag, it’s just tradition for Awesomesauce races to give out swag that isn’t a shirt. We also have lots of fun shirts available for purchase, and buying them in conjunction with your race registration hooks you up with the lowest available pricing. Any extras will be available for purchase on race day.
Awesomesauce Events produces low-key, laid-back running events that are focused more about camaraderie instead of competition. Our courses are not certified and not Boston qualifiers, but they are measured accurately and are USATF sanctioned. You won’t find mid-race splits or mile markers or bands on every corner or an army of volunteers with their arms outstretched holding drinks just for you. There are plenty of races that are more serious, and we choose to run for fun. We do time our races and the results are posted online, but you will not be timed to the millisecond by chip timing equipment. If these things are important to you, we welcome you to search out other race companies. Our races are more like having a picnic with your friends with some running or walking thrown in for fun. We welcome fun-loving, laid-back, family atmosphere type people who are more worried about having a good time over running absolutely as fast as they can. As with any other race put on by any other company, registration fees and add-on fees are final and are not refundable or transferable for any reason. Prices are subject to change. The races will go on rain or shine.
